When we set up your honeymoon registry, we give you a suggested gift amount for each tour or activity per person. However, you are free to ask for whatever you would like. All prices vary by location, availability, and are subject to change without notice.

You can break down the amounts any way you choose. For example, if an item is going to cost you €200.00, you may ask for "2 gifts of €100.00" or "4 gifts of €50.00," etc. Or, simply decide not to show any costs and guests contribute what they choose to your honeymoon.

  6. How do I let people know about the honeymoon registry?

When you send out your wedding invitations you should provide the address of your honeymoon web page and your secret login. You can also email your friends and family directly. Your bridal party and family are great ways to help your guests learn about your registry.

We can send out an email announcing your registry to your selected email list. Ask them if they would suggest the honeymoon registry when guests ask what to get you. Get everyone involved and remember that your guests really want to get you something you truly want and will remember forever.

  7. Where does the gift money go?

The money that is donated by your guests for different elements of your honeymoon is immediately credited to the honeymoon couple's account with MyHoneymoon.ie and is only used to pay for their honeymoon.

  8. How am I notified when a purchase is made?

When a guest purchases a gift from the registry, they will receive an email or text when the debit/credit card transaction is completed.

When the transaction has been approved by the credit card company, the honeymoon couple will receive an email or text at the address provided when registering for the service. This email will contain information about who purchased what gift for you.

  9. What if our registry falls short of the amount required for the balance due date?

The registered couple will be responsible for payment of any balance due. However, any gifts received after that date will be refunded back to you by cheque or bank transfer direct into your bank account. When your registry closes you will receive a full statement of gifts received and any monies transferred to you.

Once final payments have been made and your tickets become available, one of our ‘honeymoon specialists’ will contact you. Documents in most case can be emailed or posted or alternatively if more suitable picked up from our offices click through to office location & contacts list.

  11. Why is it important to notify your guests about the registry in plenty of time?

The honeymoon registry is a means of providing your guests with tangible gifts to purchase for you. However, it is still a travel booking and is governed by the conditions of the tour operator/airline/hotel with whom the booking is made. This normally means that a deposit must be paid at time of booking and the balance paid 8 weeks before departure date. We recommend that you notify your guests about the registry in plenty of time. You can do this by emailing them the link and by including the website address in your wedding invitations.

  12. What if our wedding is postponed or cancelled?

    1. Speak to our ‘Honeymoon Specialists’ to check on cancellation or change policies for flights, hotels and tours booked for your honeymoon.
    2. If your wedding is postponed, we will update the honeymoon web page and will send emails to your friends and family notifying them of the new date, if you wish.
    3. If your wedding is cancelled, we will refund the difference between the amount received and the cancellation fee directly to you. It is up to you to decide how you wish to distribute the gifts your guests have already paid for.
