Kerala & South India

  • The small state of Kerala is considered to be one of India's most beautiful state. It is a very rural state with most of the population living in villages but is culturally and scenically diverse. Kerala has two national parks, ten wildlife sanctuaries and two bird sanctuaries.
  • Kerala occupies a long (550km), narrow strip of land in the far south of India. The landscape varies from long golden beaches to cool hill stations and dense green jungle to bustling cities. Its unique feature is the 1,900km of palm fringed backwaters.The people of Kerala are warm and friendly and interaction with them is often a highlight of a holiday to Kerala. Keralites have a strong culture and are fiercely proud of their state. Some of their art forms (eg Kathakali and Theyyam) and martial arts (kalaripayattu) are unique.

Delhi

  • Today as the capital of India Delhi is the seat of administration and the monuments which tell the saga of a bygone era stand there. These icons are testimony to the grandeur of past and also an attraction for the tourists. With an area of 1483 sq. Kms, Delhi is all set to acquire full statehood. The charm of Delhi has attracted Emperors, Conquerors and poor in equally. It is correctly said that Delhi is a land of 'Dilwalas' or for people with heart. This phrase acquires a true colour when one goes around the lanes of Delhi. Delhi-- a window to the kaleidoscope that is India.

Jaipur

  • Jaipur is 260 km from Delhi and 240 km from Agra and forms part of the most popular itinerary for most travellers to India. The old Jaipur painted in pink can grip any visitor with admiration. Stunning backdrops of ancient forts including Nahargarh, Amer, Jagarh and Moti Dungri are dramatic testimonials of a bygone era and a reminder of their lingering romance. Capital of the desert state of Rajasthan and known as the ‘Pink City ‘sights include the City Palace, the Palace of the Winds ( Hawa Mahal ) and Amber Palace . Often a visit to Jaipur is combined with a stay or visit to the nearby Samode Palace.
  • Being located in a desert area the climate of Jaipur is dry and hot reaching 45 C in the summer, yet in winter 22 C one can enjoy the regal city of Jaipur to it's fullest. The city looks awesome in the winter evenings when it gets covered with fog. Jaipur offers rich food with lots of butter and ghee, which is best enjoyed during the winter season. The best time to visit Jaipur is between the months of October and March.

Cochin

  • Cochin (Kochi) known the world over as the Queen of the Arabian Sea is the commercial capital of Kerala. Cochin is a metropolis with a modern population and western outlook to life. Though a modern metropolis Cochin is a tourist's delight. This a place where there are locales frozen in time whether it is the colonial era, well preserved remains of a princely state, natural beauty of beaches, backwaters, rivers, lagoons and vibrant rural life infact every thing one may look for is here and can be easily accessed any day.
  • Cochin is just about the center of Kerala. is basically a collection of islands and narrow peninsulas. Ernakulam is the commercial centre and forms the main land. The two main railway stations and the bus stands are located here. Fort Cochin and Mattenchery for an elongated island west of Ernakulam. Willington island which houses the Naval base lies between Ernakulam and Fort Cochin.
